What is iinbin.com?
iinbin.com is a free online BIN / IIN lookup tool. It identifies the issuing bank, card type, card category and issuing country of any payment card from the first 6 to 8 digits printed on it — often called the Bank Identification Number (BIN) or Issuer Identification Number (IIN).
The tool is designed for developers, payment operators, fraud analysts, customer support teams and everyday users who need a quick answer to a simple question: "Which bank issued this card, and what kind of card is it?" No account, registration or payment details are required.
What information does a lookup return?
- BIN / IIN number — the identifier that was queried
- Card brand — Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, Amex and so on
- Card type — credit, debit, prepaid or charge
- Card category — the sub-product such as consumer, commercial, corporate or ATM
- Issuer name — the bank that issued the card
- Issuer phone number — the issuer's contact number
- Issuer website — a link to the issuer's site
- Country and ISO code — the country where the card was issued
How it works
Enter the 6 to 8 digit BIN or IIN into the lookup box and submit the form. The number is resolved against a local database cache, with an authoritative upstream API as a fallback source for numbers that are not yet cached. Results are returned in a single request and take milliseconds to display.
Cost and registration
The web lookup tool is completely free and requires no sign-up. We do not ask for an email address, and we do not sell, rent or trade any personal data. Access is rate-limited and protected by Cloudflare Turnstile purely to prevent automated abuse.
Who is it for?
- Payment and checkout teams validating card-originated requests
- Fraud and risk analysts screening BIN ranges
- Support agents identifying which institution issued a customer card
- Developers testing BIN validation logic
- Consumers checking the issuer of a card before contacting their bank
Accuracy and scope
Card data is periodically synchronised from upstream BIN/IIN databases. Because individual issuers occasionally re-assign BIN ranges, results should be treated as a reliable reference rather than a guarantee. When a result conflicts with the card in hand, always defer to the issuer printed on the physical card.
